Those of you familiar with Arabic music might be aware that many singers, especially in the Rai genre from Algeria, sing in French to cater to an international audience, especially the millions of Arabs living in France, however in this case, we have a Lebanese singer singing in French, and to the best of my knowledge, in Lebanon French is used mainly to show off and to demonstrate how cool and sophisticated you are. It's the same as if I started writing my comments half in Arabic even though everyone reading this blog understands English perfectly well..... bit3a22ad! Anyway, it fits with Cyrine's celebrity image as one of Lebanon's top models. By the way, my French is weak, so if I have the line translated wrong please let me know.
